Pretty Tassel Bag In Turquoise With Tiny Teddy

Sometimes children like crochet bags which are a little different and this pretty tassel bag fits the bill.

Crocheted in turquoise mix yarn, this little bag certainly appeals.

But I have to admit that most important to many children is the sweet little white teddy bear sitting in the front pocket (or in this instance, inside the bag 😀).

This little bag is lined, so that no treasured items should fall out.
And the crochet shoulder strap is just the right size to carry on a child’s shoulder or for an older child to carry in their hands as a handbag.

I make many Teddy Bags of all shapes and sizes, but I have always felt particularly proud with these pretty, medium-sized, children’s tote bags.

Purple is a very popular colour with children and adults, and children love that they can have this colour in their own special bag!

I chose purple and lilac yarn to make this pretty tote bag and matched it with silky lilac lining and a lilac granny square pocket framed with purple.

Of course the first thing that children notice with this pretty bag is the tiny white teddy bear in the front pocket!

I love the colour turquoise, and this is a lovely deep version. Matched with cream, it makes a very pretty tote bag.

I matched the cream with a silky lining of the same colour and a granny square front pocket framed with turquoise.
And I admit I’m very pleased with this design 🙂

The Teddy has a matching scarf in light turquoise. And I got a little carried away making this one – the scarf is almost a wrap!
But I think it suits the teddy anyway 😀.

Teddies in Sleeping Bags Join Teddy In A Bag!

Brand new to Teddy in a Bag are these sweet teddies in sleeping bags/papooses.

I’ve made several different designs, from a sleeping bag for a small, 5 inch teddy, to larger ones with 8 inch soft bears inside.

Here are some of the new sleeping bags ready for Christmas Gifts:

And then there are sleeping bags for larger teddies, and these are in coral pink and white, turquoise blue and white, lemon and white mix, and pink, white, lemon, and blue multi-colours. They all have an 8 inch teddy bear inside, holding either a baby blue or soft pink snuggle blanket.

By the way, the larger sleeping bags measure between 12.5 and 12.75 inches in length (sizes depend on particular yarn used) and, as well as taking a teddy bear, these are also large enough for a child to use for a doll or other soft toy – up to around 11 inches in length) for a change.
