Exciting Pre-Christmas Update for Teddy in a Bag

For the last few months, Teddy in a Bag has been quiet, but that’s changing right now.
In previous months, because of the pandemic, we have had no markets to do and I decided to take time off to concentrate on my family.

Nevertheless, as the months have gone by, we have been increasingly busy with online sales.

Alongside the teddy bags, we have been making all sorts of items for our Elephant Sun Dog Etsy Store.
Everythings from scarves, shawls, ponchos and tops for children, to Christmas decorations, jewellery, and a wide range of face masks for all ages and sizes.

We now have a wide range of items in our Etsy Store which I would love you to see.

But I mustn’t forget the Teddy bags and Christmas gifts right here 🙂
The Teddy in a Bag Online Sales Pages are still up and running and updated as items sell.

Our online sales are accessable via Paypal which offers a range of digital payments.
Postage and packing is free (Sorry – that’s UK only) and everything is packed carefully and posted first class within 1-2 business days.

The same applies to our Etsy store.
Depending, of course, on circumstances for Royal Mail, items bought from our store and from this site, are wrapped carefully and posted very quickly.

So, either way, if ordered in time, then we can offer a quick turn around on orders for Christmas gifts 🎅 🎄 🎁 🧸

Teddy in a Bag is at The Salvation Army Halls This Saturday

See Teddy in a Bag at the Salvation Army Christmas Fayre this Saturday 23rd November.

The Fayre is in the Lighthouse Community rooms, Albert road, Southsea.

From 10.30am to 12.30 pm.

New Crochet Shoulder Bags This Christmas Season

I have added extra colours to our popular shoulder bag range.

The Teddy in a Bag small shoulder bags with a fluffy white teddy in the large front pocket are popular Christmas gifts each year.

I’m always looking for new colours in crochet yarn to make these little bags, while keeping the most popular colours also.

These small shoulder bags are great for children of all ages over 3 years. They have a deep front pocket as well as lots of room inside.

At our fairs and markets running up to Christmas, these small bags, with a fluffy teddy bear in the front pocket, will retail at £5.00 each, so they make a great present which will be much appreciated and useful at the same time.

It’s been a bit of a job, but I’ve finally got our Online Sales Pages sorted out 🙂.

This means that, even though I post about individual bags, baskets, cradles and gift bags, and these posts mount up…you can now access them from a particular page.

Because there are so many different teddy bags, in all shapes and sizes, I have divided the sales pages according to category.

Most of the prices there refer to prices charged at Markets and Fairs (which are less, because they do not need postage and packing added).

So look out for an update of our prices page next.

Pink Crochet Cradle Bag with Teddy Sleeping Inside

Useful Little Bag Turns Into a Cradle For A Very Sweet Teddy Bear

I introduced a range of these little cradle bags to you this time last year and they have proved very popular at at markets and fairs.

One of the most popular of the cradle bags is in pink and cream, so I made a few more and am sharing one of these online, for anyone who cannot get to one of our Christmas Fairs.

This style is unique among all my teddy bags. It is a clever little design. The base of the bag is in the shape of a cradle, and when you turn the bag inside out, you have a real little cradle, with decorative sides and a little hood, so that the teddy (or any other soft toy of similar size), can be fitted snuggly and comfortably inside.

And when the bag is turned back the other way, the tie string handle can be tightened and carried as a handbag, or wrapped around the wrist as a wrist strap for the bag.

The cradle bag comes complete with a pretty crochet blanket to wrap around the teddy bear which comes with the bag.

And it’s all in baby pink with cream edging.

Here are more details about the cradle bag and teddy bear for those who are unable to see it ‘in person’ before purchase:

Cradle bag Measurements:

(all measurements were made while the bag was laid flat)
The bag ‘gives’ a little in height and width once the teddy (or other items) are placed inside it.

Height: 14 cms (5.5 inches).
Width at base: 15.5 cms (6.25 inches).
Width at top of bag (before tie pulled to close): 32 cms (12.75 inches).
Tie handle: Threads through bag. Approximately 28 cms are left either side to tie in a bow and hold after tie is tightened.

Teddy Bear details:

Height from top of head to bottom of feet: 12.5 cms (5 inches).
Made with plush, cream fabric.
Safety eyes.
Jointed arms and legs.
Wears a pretty, red silky bow.
