I have been very busy over the summer, attending craft fairs and, of course, making new bags for teddies.
This picture is just a few of the new teddy bags I have made. And over the next few days, I will be sharing more.
There are some old favourites and some new designs as well. All made with love and very reasonably priced too.
Other news is that I now share an Etsy shop, called Elephant Sun Dog on Etsy, with my daughter, Crystal, who runs Little Gifts of Southsea.
So, please have a look if you have the time. You can see some of the other items I make, as well as Teddy Bags (although there are more of those at the moment 🙂 ).
We also run a shared blog called Elephant Sun Dog, where we talk about our craft makes and share crochet patterns too. So crafters might well find something they like there.
But in the meantime, I will take some more pictures of the new Teddy in a Bag stock and tell you more about it.
And hopefully we will then be all ready for Christmas! 🙂
I have been so busy with Christmas markets, that there has been little time to update this blog, so, here is a quick run down on some of the newest items added to Teddy in a Bag:
There is a large range of very affordable Stocking Fillers, including small crochet baskets containing small teddies wearing matching scarves; tiny teddies in organza ‘wing’ bags; and tiny teddies in crochet gift sacks. Not to mention a new range of mini tiny teddies in organza bags which make excellent stocking fillers for children over 3 years.
There is a whole new range of small, reversible cotton bags, in many colour tones including blue, floral and teddy print. And all have a small teddy inside, wrapped in a crochet blanket.
We have a whole range of Elephant Print cotton bags, including double-side shoulder bags, small reversible bags, two-tone tote bags, and children’s shoppers (with double pockets).
There is a new range of cotton, double-sided shoulder bags, in a range of pretty prints. These make ‘best bags’ for children, and are large enough to be used by adults too.
Those are just a few of the new bags made in the last few weeks. And, as stock is constantly moving, particularly at Christmas markets, I’m sure that there will be many more to show you in the New Year.
I have been very busy lately, making new bags for Christmas Fayres, so updates have been quiet. You can actually see some of the bags I have made recently on the Teddy in a Bag Instagram feed, posted in the sidebar here as well.
But to keep you updated, here is a picture of the Teddy in a Bag display at the Salvation Army Christmas Fayre, this last Saturday. As you can see, there are plenty of bags, all different sizes, some crochet and some cotton and many in Christmas colours (and all with teddies in of course). The elephant print bags are particularly popular (elephants and teddies, what more could you want! 😉 ) and I have found a nice range of cotton fabric to make very pretty bags for Christmas gifts.
The next Christmas Fayre that Teddy in a Bag has a stall at is this coming Saturday (25th November), at the Love Baffins Fayre, in Tangiers Road, Portsmouth, so I’d better get back to making more bags right now!
Here is another pretty cotton bag. This one is in a ‘love bird’ cotton print and has pink cotton with white polka dots on the reverse side.
The bag would not be complete without a Tiny Teddy in the front pocket and, as with all our teddies, the tiny teddy can stay in the pocket all the time, or come out to play outside.
This style of cotton bag is medium size, so quite roomy. It is in two-sided (reversible) crisp cotton with a shoulder strap.
This style of cotton bag retails at £8.50 each.
The ‘tassle’ bag is a new design I am making. The first few are in pink-multi like the pretty bag above, but there will be a number of different colour combinations to follow.
All these bags have a full lining.
And of course every bag has a front pocket with a tiny teddy inside.
Or outside…. 🙂
Tassle bags are a size up from our smallest bags, so there is room inside for quite a few small items.
Tassle bags are for sale at £6.00 each and they would make a lovely gift for anyone over three who loves pretty bags.
