Pretty rainbow gifts sacks – all with a tiny teddy inside!
I started making these little crochet gift sacks towards the end of the Christmas season last year and they were very well-liked.
Each little gift sack is approximately 3.5 inches (9cms) wide by 4 inches 10 cms) long and stretches a little to take some nice gifts. So, they are ideal as stocking fillers.
However, because every bag I make comes with a teddy, I of course put a tiny, 7.5 cm teddy in each sack and I must admit, they are very well-loved!
The rainbow yarn used to make these little gift sacks makes them lovely and bright and suitable for a gift any time of the year.
At fairs and markets, these little gift sacks with teddy inside will cost £2.50 each (they will cost a little more online to allow for shipping and processing costs).
So they make a lovely, very reasonably-priced stocking filler or just a special little gift!
Children of all ages love small teddies and when they can carry a teddy in the pocket of a bag along with their toys, they love them even more.
These small bags are among our favourites because they are so versatile.
They are loved by children of all ages; they come with a small, 5 inch teddy in the front pocket; and there is still room in the bag itself for all those essential little items.
These particular bags are made in dark rose pink sparkle crochet yarn and the pretty pocket is mixed with cream.
But they are also available in a variety of different colours and I will post about those later.
There’s a colour here for everyone :). And Teddies come with the bags of course.
All of the small bags with small teddy in this design are £5.00 each when purchased from fairs and market (they do cost a little more when purchased online owing to shipping and processing costs).
So they make a lovely gift which is not too expensive to add to the Christmas list.
These are really teeny tiny baskets!
These are the tiniest little teddy bags I have made so far (hence the rather blurred close up pictures – my phone camera doesn’t handle tiny pictures that well!).
I call them ‘Teeny Tiny Baskets‘ and each one contains a tiny teddy which is just under 7cms in length.
These are not for the under threes, because of the small parts, but for older children, and adults, they will make a lovely little present.
Perhaps you could hang them on the Christmas tree? They are about the size of a bauble.
As you can see from one of the pictures, if by chance you want to keep the teddy for yourself, but you still want to use the gift basket, you can always use it as a gift sack and put small items of jewellery inside, or perhaps chocolate coins or similar.
These teeny tiny baskets will be at Christmas fairs only.
They will be priced at £1.50 each, so they make a nice pocket money gift too.
Hope you like them!
These little lilac bags are big favourites at craft markets and fairs, and I enjoy making them too, so I am always making more to have in stock.
Each little bag has room inside to carry special small toys or keepsakes, and in the front pocket is a tiny, 3 inch (7.5 cm) teddy bear.
I will be taking these little bags to craft markets and fairs throughout the run up to Christmas.
So you just might see them there 🙂
Hello Again From Teddy in a Bag!
I have been very busy over the summer, attending craft fairs and, of course, making new bags for teddies.
This picture is just a few of the new teddy bags I have made. And over the next few days, I will be sharing more.
There are some old favourites and some new designs as well. All made with love and very reasonably priced too.
Other news is that I now share an Etsy shop, called Elephant Sun Dog on Etsy, with my daughter, Crystal, who runs Little Gifts of Southsea.
So, please have a look if you have the time. You can see some of the other items I make, as well as Teddy Bags (although there are more of those at the moment 🙂 ).
We also run a shared blog called Elephant Sun Dog, where we talk about our craft makes and share crochet patterns too. So crafters might well find something they like there.
But in the meantime, I will take some more pictures of the new Teddy in a Bag stock and tell you more about it.
And hopefully we will then be all ready for Christmas! 🙂
